Riverfront Playhouse is excited to share news of its new theatre location in a recently purchased building at 1950 California Street in downtown Redding. Riverfront has provided quality live entertainment for north state audiences for 35 years and is Redding’s longest continually operating community theatre.
Dedicated areas for rehearsals and set building in the new facility will eliminate many weeks of down time between productions. It will provide seating for 153 patrons and will be available to rent for seminars, meetings, receptions, private events, movies, music, and a variety of performing arts. The remodeling of the building is being designed by Trilogy Architecture and will include a bar in the lobby, a reception area, storage for costumes and props, dressing rooms, and a service kitchen with warming and refrigeration capability.
Donations continue to be needed for this exciting project in our community. Please send your contributions to Riverfront Playhouse, 1620 E. Cypress Ave., Redding, CA 96002 or use the donation link.
