Auditions for the Christmas play at Riverfront Playhouse will be held on:
Sunday, September 19th at 4:30 p.m.
Monday the 20th at 5:30 p.m.
and very possible Tuesday the 21st at 5:30 p.m.

Auditions will be at Riverfront Playhouse, 1620 E. Cypress Ave., Redding, CA.

Dracula! The Musical? by Rick Abbot is a mini-musical that is a cross between Mel Brooks and Gilbert and Sullivan. The comedy styling and musical arrangements remind one very much of other comedic musical masterpieces like Nunsense.

What could be more pleasant than a quiet evening at home — home being the family insane asylum — especially when you’re expecting Hungarian royalty for dinner? But if you do invite Count Dracula over, be very, very specific about what you offer him to drink…or it could be a very draining evening. This all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza starts with an unlikely premise and proceeds to a ridiculous conclusion featuring the previously unknown virtues of pot roast. In other words, a perfect way to enjoy an autumn evening in celebration of the spirit of Halloween.

Dates: 9/18, 9/19, 9/24, 9/25, 9/26, 10/1, 10/2,
10/3, 10/8, 10/9, 10/10, 10/15 and 10/16

Showtimes:
Friday – Saturday: 7:30 pm (doors open 6:45 pm)
Sunday Matinees: 2:00 pm (doors open 1:15 pm)

Enjoy a film with Enjoy! Magazine and us. Riverfront Playhouse will be the featured non-profit Friday nights in August for movies shown on the Convention Center lawn, where they erect a huge "blow-up" screen. Movies begin at dusk and admission is free. This is a great way to enjoy a family/community time on a balmy evening. The movies for August are:

August 6th – Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
August 13th – Beetlejuice
August 20th – Swiss Family Robinson
August 27th – War of the Worlds (1953 version)
